Kevin Smith snags two more for Dicks

Kevin Smith continues to prepare to direct his first studio film and the first he’s not written, A Couple of Dicks.

Most recently he has cast Seann William Scott and Adam Brody in the film. Already set to star in the buddy action comedy are Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.

The script, by Robb and Mark Cullen (TV’s Las Vegas), follows a maverick cop (Willis) and his partner (Morgan) who, while tracking a valuable stolen baseball card, tangle with a memorabilia-obsessed gangster and rescue a Mexican beauty who holds the key to millions in laundered drug money.

Scott will play a thief known as the Shit Bandit for the souvenirs he leaves at his robberies. Brody will be an abrasive detective not happy to be working with Willis and Morgan.

Shooting begins Monday in New York.

Scott most recently starred in the hilarious Role Models and will next be heard in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Brody next appears in Boaz Yakin’s indie drama Death In Love then in Jennifer’s Body, a dark comedy written by Diablo Cody, starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried.
