Universal is bringing Shane Acker’s 9, featuring the voices of Christopher Plummer, Jennifer Connelly, Elijah Wood, and John C. Reilly, to DVD and Blu-ray formats on December 29.
The Blu-ray release will feature 1080p video and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack. Exclusive supplements and supplements will include Universal’s U-Control feature and BD-Live. With BD-Live you bookmark your favorite scenes and share them with friends on BD-Live. “On Tour with Shane Acker” allows the viewer to take a tour of the production as Acker explains the production process step-by-step.
Bonus features found on both the Blu-ray and DVD include deleted scenes, feature commentary with writer/director Shane Acker, animation director Joe Ksander, head of story Ryan O’Loughlin and editor Nick Kenway; three featurettes (“9 – The Long and the Short of It,” “Acting Out,” and “The Look of 9″), and 9 – The Original Short.
