Official Remember Me Trailer with Robert Pattinson
By Travis Leamons - November 19, 2009 | Email the author

As the Twilight faithful get ready to pounce on New Moon, here’s a bit of news: the chances are good you’ll see a trailer featuring star Robert Pattinson. Not sure if this is a smart move on Summit Entertainment’s part. The girls may faint before the movie starts. Then the ambulances will come and it’ll be a circus.

Summit Entertainment’s next movie starring Pattinson is the romantic drama Remember Me. Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious man living in the Big Apple who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan). Nobody understands the problems Tyler has until he meets Ally (Lost’s Emilie de Ravin). Their chance encounter driven by fate was the start of Tyler’s road to happiness. But soon secrets come to light and their relationship becomes strained. The film is described as an “unforgettable story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one’s life.” Remember Me also stars acting veterans Chris Cooper and Lena Olin.

After watching this trailer, I’m already convinced that it will be better than either of the two Twilight films. Maybe it’s because Pattinson’s not playing a dead guy. Or it could be the supporting cast; Cooper automatically makes it worth a viewing. But if my words don’t sell you, check out the trailer below, and leave comments.

Remember Me is directed by Allen Coulter, of Hollywoodland and episodes of The Sopranos and Damages previously. Will Fetters is credited with the screenplay alongside Academy Award nominee Jenny Lumet (Rachel Getting Married). Remember Me opens in theaters on March 12, 2010.

  1. Can’t wait for this movie to come out. I think Twilight was just showing the surface of Robert Pattinson’s acting skills, can’t wait to see him in a role with more depth.

Other signs that this movie is going to be good:
1 – it has Chris Cooper. He’s always great.
2 – great songs in the trailer, especially “Asleep” by The Album Leaf (the one that plays about halfway through). That song is just about as dreamy as Robert himself!
