VIDEO: Red Band Trailer for Kevin Smith’s Cop Out
By Travis Leamons - February 5, 2010 | Email the author

If you’ve been waiting for a movie that references Brian De Palma’s The Untouchables in a pornographic way, well Cop Out may be right up your alley. Trailer after the break.

The first Cop Out trailer was tame, but thankfully MySpace has debuted a red band trailer for the new Kevin Smith comedy. There are certain situations that you might want to keep hidden from your co-workers, but man I’m digging the humor this time around (save for a few instances). Even though it isn’t written by Smith, Mark and Rob Cullen (TV’s Las Vegas) don’t mince words: there’s a good amount of profanity and sexual innuendo in the trailer. Just watch it and you’ll understand.

Kevin Smith is the writer and director of such films as Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The screenplay was penned by the above-mentioned Mark and Rob Cullen who scripted such shows as NBC’s Las Vegas, and FX’s short-lived series Lucky starring John Corbett. Warner Bros. will be rolling out Cop Out in theaters starting on February 26, 2010. I’ll be seeing it, anyone else?

  1. Much better then the first trailer. Consider me officially excited again. Though, is it just me or is this film not getting a lot of pre-release publicity? It comes out in under a month.
