VIDEO: If Filmmakers Directed the Super Bowl
By Travis Leamons - February 8, 2010 | Email the author

The New Orleans Saints are Super Bowl champs and Bourbon Street is still standing. Maybe a little wobbly, but after last night’s festivities you can understand why. Prior to the Super Bowl, Slate created a mash-up video entitled “If Filmmakers Directed the Super Bowl.” Among the directing styles featured are those from Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Jean-Luc Godard, and Werner Herzog.

Of the five mock trailers, Herzog’s is by far the best in my opinion. Voice-over narration from Grizzly Man is utilized to describe the Chicago Bears and the team’s quest for gridiron glory.
