SRS Cinema has announced plans to release Terror at Blood Fart Lake which stars Nicola Fiore (For Christ’s Sake, Pot Zombies 2). Indie horror filmmaker Chris Seaver (Filty McNasty, Fithy McNastier: Maximum Dousche and others) directed this horror/comedy that will be available to own beginning June 16th.
The HBO drama Grey Gardens, which stars Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, will be available to own on DVD on July 14th, 2009. Grey Gardens is based on the true life stories of the eccentric aunt and cousin of former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka “Big and Little Edie”.
Written and produced by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, Leon the Professional), Taken stars Liam Neeson as a retired CIA operative whose daughter is kidnapped while on a vacation to Europe.
The Edge Of Love, a British film starring Keira Knightley, Cillian Murphy, Sienna Miller and Michael Rhys will arrive on R1 DVD on July 14, 2009. The screenplay is by Knightley’s mother, Sharman Macdonald.
Warner Brothers has some early details about the DVD and Blu-Ray releases for Inkheart. Each will be available to own beginning June 23, 2009. The DVD release will include both widescreen and full screen presentations, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. The Blu-ray release will include around 30 minutes of extra material, along with a digital copy of the film, and a copy of the DVD. No details regarding the extras on either the DVD or Blu-Ray have been released yet. We’ll keep you posted!
Labou, a new independent children’s film, will be released on DVD on May 19, 2009. The film is produced by Sheri Bryant and is written and directed by Greg Aronowitz (Power Rangers S.P.D.).
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced DVD and Blu-ray releases of Hotel For Dogs which stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Don Cheadle, and Lisa Kudrow. The kid-friendly comedy will be available to own on April 28, 2009.
